Until Cookd is on addons.mozilla.org, the download only runs until Firefox restarts.
Load the download in Chrome, Brave or Edge
Unzip it into a folder you’ll keep
Your browser runs Cookd from that folder.
Turn on Developer mode
Open your browser’s extensions page and switch on Developer mode.

Pick the folder you unzipped. Cookd opens its welcome page.
Pin Cookd, then practice
Pin it from the Extensions menu and open any question on the Question Bank.

Load the download in Firefox
- Open
about:debugging, then This Firefox. - Choose Load Temporary Add-on and pick the Firefox zip.
- Cookd stays until Firefox restarts. Firefox Developer Edition and Nightly can keep it if you allow unsigned add-ons.
Orion
iOS and iPadOS 16.4 or later
A free browser from Kagi that runs Chrome and Firefox extensions on iPhone and iPad. Turn them on in Orion’s Settings, then install Cookd from either store.

On iPhone and iPad they can’t run extensions. Use Orion instead.

On Android they can’t run extensions. Use Firefox instead.
After installing
Cookd’s welcome page asks you to sign in so your stats follow you. You can skip it: Cookd still logs your practice in this browser and uploads it when you sign in later.
Downloads don’t update by themselves. In Chrome, Brave or Edge, download the zip again, replace the folder’s contents and choose reload on Cookd’s card. Your practice stays.
